The Audubon Cottages allow guests a unique New Orleans experience.
The cottages, just around the corner from the main building, are
a private, luxurious, urban oasis in the heart of the New Orlean's
French Quarter. The Maison de Ville also has two beautiful
suites on the main grounds to choose from; the Toulouse Suite
and the Carriage House Suite.
Cottage 1
A two-bedroom cottage with a King Bed in each Bedroom , two baths, and a separate living room. This cottage is the former
residence of John James Audubon, who lived there while completing
his Birds of America series. Cottage 1 shares a courtyard
with Cottage 7.
Cottage 2
A two-bedroom cottage with one King Bedroom and one Four Poster
canopied double bedroom each with private baths, one of which
has
a Jacuzzi tub. The large hardwood floored living room has plenty
of seating and a dining room table. The private courtyard offers
seating for 4 people. Celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor have
stayed in this cottage. Additionally, this is one of the cottages
that is said to be frequented by guests, making Maison de Ville
one of the haunted hotels in New Orleans!
Cottage 3
A two-bedroom cottage with a King bed in each bedroom and two baths.
The separate living room has tile floors and antique furnishings.
Cottage 3 has a large private courtyard with plenty of sunlight
and seating for 6 people.
Cottage 4
A two bedroom, two story cottage with one King bedroom and one Four
Poster canopied Double bedroom, two baths, large living room and
a large, shady, private courtyard. The bedrooms and bathrooms are
upstairs and the living room is downstairs. Cottage 4 is said to
be haunted by a country music loving soldier.
Cottage 5
This two bedroom cottage offers one King bedroom and one Queen bedroom
each with private baths, one if which has a Jacuzzi tub. The living
area, seen in the photo at the top of the page, has hardwood floors
and French doors that open up to the semi-private courtyard, which
is shared with Cottage 6.
Cottage 6
The first of two one-bedroom cottages, Cottage 6 has a four-poster
king bedroom and bath.
The semi-private courtyard is shared with Cottage 5.
Cottage 7
This Slave Quarter cottage offers a King size bed and oversized
Jacuzzi bath. The semi-private courtyard is shared with Cottage
1. Cottage 7 was used as a studio for John James Audubon while he
lived in Cottage 1.
Room amenities include traditionals items, such as complimentary
daily newspaper, honor bar/ mini bar in the rooms, concierge service,
valet parking.
The Hotel Maison de Ville also provides several unique

The Pool at the Audubon Cottages
The pool at the Audubon Cottages is said to be the oldest in the
French Quarter. Set in original brick, the pool is surrounded by
lush foliage and offers seating in wrought iron chaise lounges.
Room requests are honored
whenever possible.
