Ghost Hunter University at Hotel Maison de Ville

Do you wonder what goes bump in the night? New Orleans is a city known for its mystical properties - Anne Rice made our vampires famous, we've talked about Voodoo, and many ghosts haunt the alleyways and streets of our city.

The Hotel has a few regular ghostly visitors of our own, including an old soldier who seems to prefer country music and a woman who remains in the courtyard. New Orleans is consistently known as the most haunted city in America.

Where better than this target-rich environment to learn to search for the paranormal? Hotel Maison de Ville has partnered with Haunted Times magazine for a special edition of Ghost Hunter University this February. Christopher Moon will lead two sessions - Ghost Hunting for Beginners on February 22, 2008 and an Advanced Ghost Hunting session on February 23, 2008.

Ghost Hunting Equipment

If you have a motion detector, a thermal scanner, an EMF detector, or you've always wanted to learn how to use infrared film in your 35mm camera, then bring whatever you have and you'll learn how to properly use your ghost hunting equipment.

If you're just starting out, you'll learn on our ghost hunting equipment and discover what works best for you.

Sessions will be held in the evenings and run until midnight. Attendees will receive Course Completion Certificates at the conclusion of each session.

Exploring the Ghosts of the City

Enjoy a longer stay and use your new skills to explore New Orleans and its ghosts. See you if you discover Pere Dabogert singing at St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. Visit 1240 Burgundy Street and the Gardette-La Prete House, also known as the Sultan's House - site of a still unsolved murder and restless spirits.

As always, take a partner - don't go ghost hunting alone.
